⚙️ How Hireload delivery works — start to finish
You send
Postcode, hire dates, equipment and access notes (loading bay, stairs, lift, parking). Phone, email, contact form or WhatsApp.
We come back
Route slot, approximate AM/PM window, any applicable distance charge, ID and refundable deposit confirmed before the hire is booked.
We deliver
Driver phones 30 min before arrival with a live tracking link. Kerbside drop-off, signed for. Free wait up to 15 min.
We collect
Email or call to off-hire. Once we confirm in writing we agree a collection date and pick up from the same kerbside point.
📦 What we deliver across London
Every category below is delivered London-wide, Monday to Saturday, from a single Greenford depot. Click through for full specs, pricing and availability per category.
✅ Six things we make clear before delivery day
Route-based slot
We share a planned-route window after we see your postcode and dates — not a generic “sometime next week”. Times are approximate AM/PM.
Distance charges where applicable
Most London jobs are route-priced. Some postcodes may carry a distance charge — set out in your quote or order confirmation, never added on the day.
Power compatibility check
For 9 kW / 15 kW / 40 kW industrial heaters we’ll ask about your supply (a socket photo helps) so 3-phase 400/415 V can be matched correctly.
Kerbside, signed for
Equipment is unloaded to the nearest safe kerbside point. Someone over 18 must be present to sign and may be asked for ID for verification.
Right-kit guidance
Tell us the space, what you’re drying or heating and any deadlines — we’ll talk through a setup that suits the job. Final selection is yours (T&C clause 21).
Off-hire in writing
Off-hire takes effect once we confirm your request in writing and agree a collection date. Hire charges continue until that point.
🏠 Free collection from our Greenford depot
If you’re nearby and want to skip the delivery fee, you can collect directly from our West London depot — free. Bring photo ID, the order confirmation, and a vehicle large enough for the kit (we’ll tell you the dimensions on the booking).
Before you collect:
- Order must be paid in full and ID-verified before pickup
- Bring the original payment card and booking confirmation
- Allow 15–20 minutes for handover and paperwork
- Larger items (twin-axle dryers, indirect heaters) require a van or estate
🔌 Power, access & parking — what to check before booking
Power
Most domestic dehumidifiers and dryers run on a standard 13A 240V plug. Industrial 9 kW / 15 kW / 40 kW heaters require 3-phase 400/415 V and are not compatible with household sockets. Send a socket photo and we’ll confirm before dispatch.
Access (kerbside)
All deliveries are kerbside. Equipment unloaded to the nearest safe street-level point — we don’t carry up stairs or across sites as standard. Carry-in service must be agreed and quoted in writing in advance.
Parking
Loading bay, on-street suspension, or controlled parking zone — let us know. CPZ permits and red routes can add wait time. Tell us at booking so we route the right vehicle and allow correct unload time.
💧 For damp, leaks & drying jobs — combine three things
Most water-damage jobs in London need three pieces of equipment working together, not one. Order as a package and we’ll deliver them on the same run. Drying time depends on water volume, room size, ventilation and temperature.
Dehumidifier
Pulls moisture out of the air so heat and airflow keep working. Pick by litres-per-day extraction and the room volume — we’ll match it on the call. See range
Air mover / floor dryer
Pushes fast, low-level airflow across wet carpet, screed and floorboards — the missing piece on most DIY drying setups. See range
Heater (if cold)
Below 12°C, dehumidifiers slow down. Choose 240 V for indoor flats; 3-phase 400/415 V for site work and large spaces. See range

❓ London delivery & collection — frequently asked
Do you deliver London-wide?
Yes. We run a route-based delivery and collection service across all 32 London boroughs from our West London depot in Greenford (UB6). Send your postcode and dates and we’ll confirm the next available slot for that day’s route.
Can I request same-day or next-day delivery?
Sometimes — depending on route capacity, stock and the item. We aim for next-day where possible. Same-day is on request and not guaranteed. Send postcode plus required date and we’ll confirm what’s achievable on that day’s route.
Will the driver call before arriving?
Yes. Every Hireload driver phones the site contact roughly 30 minutes before arrival. If your job is on a tight access window, we’ll narrow that to a 15-minute heads-up.
Can I track the delivery live?
Yes — once your delivery is dispatched from Greenford, you’ll get a live tracking link by SMS or email so you can see when the van will arrive.
How long does the driver wait on site?
Up to 15 minutes free at delivery and at collection. After that, additional waiting time is charged at our published rate. We’ll always call before any waiting charge applies — no surprises.
Is delivery to flats above ground floor included?
All deliveries are kerbside. We unload to the nearest safe stopping point at street level — we don’t carry equipment up stairs, into back gardens or across sites as standard. If you need a carry-in service this must be agreed and quoted in writing in advance.
What ID do I need to show on delivery?
Someone over 18 must be present and able to provide photo ID if requested. ID may be checked for fraud prevention and security. Where a deposit applies, we may also ask for reasonable ID verification before releasing the equipment, in line with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Do you collect at the end of hire?
Yes. Collection is arranged as part of every hire. Email or call to off-hire. Once we confirm your off-hire request in writing and agree a collection date, the off-hire takes effect. Hire charges continue until the confirmed off-hire date, provided the equipment is complete, accessible, not in use and ready for collection at the agreed kerbside point.
How do distance charges work?
Most London deliveries are route-priced with no distance charge. Some postcodes — typically further outside our standard route corridor — may carry a distance charge based on travel time and mileage. Where it applies, the charge is shown on your quote or order confirmation before the hire is confirmed. Consumer cancellation rights under our Terms & Conditions remain unaffected.
For 3-phase heaters, what power do I need?
Our industrial 9 kW, 15 kW and 40 kW heaters require 3-phase 400/415 V. They are not compatible with standard 13 A 240 V sockets. Send a photo of your socket or tell us your available supply and we’ll confirm compatibility before delivery.
What if I’m not sure which equipment I need?
Send the job details — space size, what you’re drying or heating, deadlines, and any pictures of the room or socket. We’ll talk you through suitable options so you can choose. Final selection of equipment for your project remains the customer’s responsibility (clause 21 of our Terms & Conditions).
Do you deliver to flats, high-rise sites and CPZ streets?
Yes. Tell us at booking if there’s a lift restriction, a concierge to sign in with, a controlled parking zone, or a loading bay window. We’ll route the right vehicle and allow correct unload time. Delivery remains kerbside as standard.
What is the minimum hire period?
The minimum hire period is set out on the relevant product or category page on hireload.co.uk. If you’re unsure for a specific item, send us a message and we’ll confirm before you book.
Can I extend the hire if the job runs over?
Yes. Call us before the scheduled collection date and we’ll extend by the day, week or month at the standard rate — no penalty surcharge as long as you tell us before the driver is dispatched.
Are you open on Sundays?
Standard service runs Monday to Saturday. Sunday work is by prior arrangement for emergency hires (flood response, urgent commercial drying). Call 020 3375 4048 with the situation and we’ll see what we can route.
📞 Ready to book a London delivery slot?
Send your postcode, dates and items. We’ll come back with the next available route slot, an approximate AM/PM window and any applicable distance charge. We aim to respond within the hour during working times.
