Wet and dry vacuum hire London — industrial vacuum hire and commercial vacuum hire for site water pickup, general dust and debris recovery, workshop cleanup and post-cleaning support. Our wet dry vacuum hire machine runs on a standard 240V plug — no transformer, no generator — and switches between liquid and dry pickup in a single pass.

Hire it on its own as a site vacuum for builders cleans and construction cleanup, alongside a floor cleaner for dirty-water recovery, after a pressure washer for indoor runoff, or with a dehumidifier and air mover after a flood. London delivery is available by booking and you can collect free from our Greenford UB6 depot. Not sure which setup fits your job? Call 020 3375 4048 — we'll help match the right vacuum and drying combo to the surface, water volume and dust type on site.

What affects vacuum hire cost?

The variables that shape your quote — call us with the details and we'll help match the setup.

Machine type

A standard wet & dry vacuum is generally the most affordable option. Specialist extractors cost more but may be required for some dust types.

Hire duration

Daily, weekly and longer-period rates apply — longer hires get better day rates.

Wet vs dry use

Wet pickup may need extra filter changes or bag replacements between jobs.

Filter / bag requirement

Some site jobs go through bags faster — let us know dust type when booking.

Delivery or collection

London delivery available by booking, or collect free from our Greenford UB6 depot.

Drying after

Flood or runoff jobs often need a dehumidifier and air mover afterwards — bundle when booking.

Frequently asked questions

Ten quick answers London hirers ask before booking a vacuum.

What vacuum do I need for water pickup?

For water, spills, light slurry and pressure-washer runoff, a wet and dry vacuum (sometimes called a water vacuum or site vacuum) is the safest starting point. Tell us the water volume, surface and access and we'll help confirm a suitable setup.

Can a wet and dry vacuum pick up water?

Yes. A wet and dry vacuum is designed to pick up water as well as dry debris. Empty the tank when full and check the filter is suitable for the material before switching between wet and dry.

Can I vacuum plaster dust?

For small amounts of general dust, a wet and dry vacuum may be suitable depending on filter setup. For plaster dust at scale, fine dust, silica or hazardous-dust risk, ask first — a properly rated dust extractor may be required.

Do I need a wet and dry vacuum or a dust extractor?

For water and general site mess, a wet and dry vacuum. For fine construction dust, sanding or tool-connected dust capture, a properly rated dust extractor. Call 020 3375 4048 if you're not sure.

Can I use a wet/dry vacuum after pressure washing?

Yes — for indoor, covered or courtyard washdown areas where runoff cannot drain freely. Check outdoor power and electrical safety on a wet site before booking. See the pressure washer range.

Can I use a wet/dry vacuum with a floor cleaner?

Yes. The vacuum is a common pairing with our rotary scrubber and carpet cleaners for dirty-water recovery and to keep floors dry between passes.

How much does wet and dry vacuum hire cost?

Pricing is shown on the product card above and depends on hire duration, delivery vs collection and whether you also need filters/bags or drying equipment. Daily, weekly and longer-period rates are available.

Can I hire a vacuum in London?

Yes. We offer vacuum cleaner hire London-wide — wet and dry vacuum hire London for site water pickup, dust recovery and cleaning support. London delivery is available by booking and free collection from our Greenford UB6 depot. Out-of-zone delivery on request.

Can I collect from Greenford UB6?

Yes. Book ahead and pick up free from our Greenford UB6 depot during opening hours.

What should I not vacuum?

Avoid using a standard wet and dry vacuum on asbestos-risk material, lead paint dust, hot ash, flammable liquids, fuel, large rubble and unknown chemicals. Use a licensed contractor or properly rated machine — call us if you're unsure.

Need help choosing the right vacuum?

Tell us what you need to pick up — water, dust, debris, slurry or cleaning runoff — plus the volume, access and hire dates. We'll help match the right vacuum setup to the job.
