Hireload delivers equipment across London and the Home Counties from our depot in Greenford, West London. If you are based nearby, you can also collect for free.

Most customers choose delivery. Collection is available as a free alternative for those who prefer to pick up from our depot — just book in advance so your order is prepared and ready when you arrive.

Delivery Across London & the Home Counties

We deliver using our own ULEZ-compliant vehicles, with live tracking on every order. The driver will call you around 30 minutes before arrival.

Photo ID is required on every order. Whether your equipment is delivered to you or collected from our depot, the person receiving it must produce a current passport or photocard driving licence before it is handed over. This applies to every hire, of every value, however long you have hired from us — a standard security and fraud-prevention step applied consistently to all customers. Without it we are unable to release the equipment. The full requirement is set out at clause 6A of our Terms & Conditions.

Delivery Tracking

Every delivery includes live tracking by email and SMS. You will receive updates as the driver approaches, and a call approximately 30 minutes before arrival so someone can be on site to receive the equipment.

Delivery Pricing

One price covers both trips — delivery to you, and collection when your hire ends. There is no separate collection charge.

Free Collection from Greenford (UB6 7JD)

If you are based near our depot, you can collect your equipment free of charge. Collection works best when booked in advance — we prepare and check your order so it is ready when you arrive, with no waiting.

Make sure your vehicle is suitable for the equipment you have hired. Smaller items will fit in a car, but larger equipment may need a van or trailer. If you are not sure, contact us before you book and we will advise.

Delivery & Collection FAQ

Can I collect instead of paying for delivery?

Yes. Collection from our Greenford depot (UB6 7JD) is completely free. Book your hire online and select “Collection” at checkout. You will need to bring photo ID and a vehicle suitable for the equipment.

How quickly can you deliver?

Same-day delivery is typically within around 3 hours, subject to stock and routing. We also offer next-day, priority (guaranteed before 11 am when booked before 11 am), and scheduled delivery for planned projects.

How will I know when my delivery is arriving?

You will receive live tracking updates by email and SMS. The driver will also call you approximately 30 minutes before arrival.

What areas do you deliver to?

We deliver across Greater London and the Home Counties from our depot in Greenford (UB6). Your delivery zone and price are shown automatically at checkout based on your postcode.

Can I just turn up at the depot?

No. All collections must be booked in advance so your equipment can be prepared, checked and ready for you. This avoids unnecessary waiting and ensures everything is in order when you arrive.

Do I need to show ID?

Yes. Photographic identification — a current passport or photocard driving licence — is required on every hire, for delivery and depot collection alike. The person receiving the equipment must produce the original document, in date and in the name the order was placed in, before it is handed over. If someone else is collecting or receiving on your behalf, please tell us in advance so we can note it on your order. Without identification we are unable to release the equipment and the delivery or collection cannot be completed. This requirement is set out at clause 6A of our Terms & Conditions and applies to all customers without exception.

Do I need to bring anything when collecting?

Bring your original photo ID (current driving licence or passport) and a suitable vehicle. Our team will be on hand to help you load.

What if I am not there when the driver arrives?

Someone needs to be at the address to take the delivery, but it does not have to be you. A colleague, the site manager, a neighbour — anyone who can check the equipment over and sign for it. We do not leave hire equipment unattended. From the moment it is signed for it is your responsibility, so leaving it on a doorstep or an open site would expose you to theft or damage you would be liable for. If nobody can be there, let us know before the delivery date and we will rebook it.

Can I get equipment today?

Often, yes. Same-day delivery is typically within around 3 hours, subject to stock and routing. If you can get to us, free collection from our Greenford depot (UB6 7JD) is usually the fastest route of all. Call 020 3375 4048 and we will tell you straight away what is available today.

How do I know you actually have one free on my dates?

Choose your dates on the product page. The booking calendar only lets you select dates the equipment is genuinely free — it is a live booking, not a request form. Most of our range is in stock for next-day London delivery when ordered by 5pm. If you would rather hear it from a person first, call 020 3375 4048.

Do you take proof of delivery?

Yes. You can follow the driver on a live map on the day, and when they arrive we record a signature and take photographs of the equipment as it was left. You then get an email confirming the visit was completed, with a link to the full record. It means there is never a dispute about what turned up, when, or what condition it was in — and the same applies when we collect.

What happens if I finish early — do I get a refund?

Hire is charged for the period you book, so finishing early does not reduce the price. Our rates run in bands — a day, two days, up to a week, then a daily rate beyond that — so it is worth booking the window you actually expect to need. If the job overruns you can extend online rather than re-booking, and if you are not sure how long you will need, call us on 020 3375 4048 before you book and we will help you pick the right window.
