What this setup does
LGR — low grain refrigerant — extracts moisture in conditions where a standard refrigerant dehumidifier loses efficiency: cooler rooms, lower relative humidity, and jobs where you need to dry deep into materials.
Standard refrigerant dehumidifiers work best in warm, humid conditions. Below ~16°C or below ~50% RH they slow down — coil temperature drops, defrost cycles kick in, and extraction rate falls. The LGR keeps pulling moisture in those conditions because of how the air is pre-cooled before extraction.
Two air movers give you wider surface coverage so a tougher job can dry across multiple wet surfaces in one hire. This is the package to choose when the standard 55L Larger Wet Room setup is not enough.

Typical drying window
5–7 days for tougher loads in cooler conditions, longer if the room stays cold or saturation is heavier.
Drying time depends on saturation level, room size, temperature, airflow and what was wet. We do not guarantee drying times. LGR holds extraction in cooler rooms but a heater may help in very cold spaces. If the job is moving slower than expected, call us — we can help size up.

How the package rate works
The package uses a tiered rate. The 1–5 day price is a fixed package rate that covers any hire from one to five days. From day six, the package moves to a lower daily long-hire rate that runs for the full hire — it is not added on top of the 5-day rate. Hires of 6 days or longer move to the lower daily long-hire rate shown above. The deposit is refunded after collection and inspection, subject to return condition. Delivery is charged separately by London delivery zone. VAT applies to hire and delivery.
Delivery, ID, deposit and access
Kerbside deliveryStandard delivery is kerbside. If you need help carrying the kit indoors, mention it when you book.
Stairs and accessEach unit is light enough to carry, but tight stairs or lift access should be confirmed before delivery.
ID verificationPhoto ID and proof of address are required before delivery. Deposit is taken at booking.
Refundable deposit£200 deposit is held against return condition. Released after collection and inspection.
Water source firstFix or isolate the leak before drying. Standing water must be extracted before this kit goes in.

Common questions
When should I choose LGR over a standard dehumidifier?
When the room is cooler than ~16°C, when the air is drier (lower relative humidity), or when a standard refrigerant dehumidifier has been running and the room is not drying as expected. LGR maintains extraction rate in those conditions.
Is this overkill for a normal damp job?
For mild damp in a warm room, yes — Best Value or Larger Wet Room is the right call and you save money. LGR is for tougher loads or cooler rooms specifically. If unsure, call us with the room conditions and we will help.
Will it work in an unheated outbuilding?
In a very cold outbuilding (around or below freezing), even LGR slows down and you may need a heater alongside to lift the ambient temperature. Call us to size the right combination — we have heaters available too.
How long should I hire it for?
Most LGR-grade jobs run 5 to 7 days at normal temperature with the kit running continuously, longer in colder rooms or for heavier saturation. The 1–5 day package rate covers up to five days. From day six the package switches to the lower long-hire rate.
What happens after 5 days?
From day six onwards the package switches to the lower daily long-hire rate (£29.99/day + VAT). This rate replaces the 1–5 day fixed rate for the whole hire — it is not added on top.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. The £200 deposit is refunded after the kit is collected and inspected, subject to return condition. ID and proof of address are required before delivery.
Do you deliver across London?
Yes. We deliver across London from our Greenford UB6 depot. Same-day delivery is usually available if you order before our daily cut-off, subject to stock and route.
