What the rotary floor scrubber costs to hire

The bookable machine is the rotary floor scrubber and polisher. Hire runs from £9.60 to £69.99 + VAT across the range, with the exact figure depending on the duration you book — shorter hires sit at the lower end per day, and longer hires bring the daily cost down. A £100 refundable deposit also applies. It is not a cost — it is returned after the machine comes back and passes inspection. The deposit covers condition, not loss or theft.

What changes the total

Hire duration. This is the biggest lever. A single day sits at the lower end of the range; a multi-day or weekly hire lowers the effective daily cost. If a job might run over, it is usually cheaper to book the longer period up front than to extend late.

Delivery or collection. Delivery and collection costs depend on your postcode zone, access and route timing. You can also use free Click and Collect from our Greenford (UB6) depot to skip the delivery charge. The live options show at booking.

Optional extras. Pads and floor cleaning solution are optional add-ons listed on the product page — add them to the booking if your floor and job need them. Tell us the floor type and we will help match the right pad.

What you are actually hiring

The rotary floor scrubber and polisher is a 240V single-disc machine (RCD included) that scrubs, polishes and buffs hard floors — tile, vinyl, sealed concrete and safety flooring in shops, offices, communal areas, schools, gyms and end-of-tenancy cleans.

It is not a scrubber-dryer, so it does not vacuum the dirty water up as it goes. For wet pickup, pair it with a wet and dry vacuum; to speed drying afterwards, add an air mover or carpet/floor dryer. For a larger walk-behind or ride-on scrubber-dryer on a very big commercial floor, we do not list one as standard bookable hire — call 020 3375 4048 and we will check availability for you.

Hire or buy?

For occasional or one-off cleaning, hiring almost always makes sense — you pay only when you need the machine, with no storage, servicing or repair to worry about. Buying a machine outright tends only to pay off for organisations cleaning the same large floors very frequently. If you are cleaning weekly or more, it is worth comparing a longer hire against a purchase for your specific machine and usage.
